Do You Have a Diet Mindset?

If you’re someone who has struggled with food for a long time, I’m sure you’ve done the ‘I’m soooo f*cking done with diets’ talk. And by talk, I mean you’ve told yourself that…obviously. If every time you start a diet, just to fail, then chances are you’ve wanted to stop dieting before. And please know: […]

What to Eat to Stop Binge Eating

Welcome to the world of what I was stuck in for so long. SO. DAMN. LONG. People telling you what to eat, what not to eat, what to do, and what not to do all with a false promise that swears it’s going to get you your dream body. So you just can’t figure out […]

Should You do Healthy ‘Food Swaps?’

Aaaah… healthy ‘food swaps.’ I feel like food swaps are all the buzz lately. Ever since the ‘Eat This, Not That,’ campaign came out, the world lived for Halo Top instead of Ben & Jerry’s (dear god I was one of those people). Let’s talk food swaps and if they are right for you. What […]

Why You Aren’t Addicted to Sugar

This post may make a lot of people angry – my bad… sort of. People walk around saying ‘I’m a food addict,’ or ‘I’m addicted to sugar,’ hell there’s even an anonymous group program to heal the sugar addiction. I know all about Overeater’s Anonymous because I was a member for a long time. Sponsor […]

What to do if You Overate this Weekend

Let’s talk about what to do if you overate this weekend. While I’m writing this, it’s Super Bowl weekend… and the first thing I think of is wings. Wings, beer, allllll the delicious stuff. But in reality? It doesn’t matter what ‘special’ weekend it is. Sometimes we stress so much about a big weekend, or […]

Do You Need to Count Calories to Lose Weight?

This is one of my favorite topics. The ‘fitness gurus’ say you need to track, weigh, measure, and have My Fitness Pal be your best friend. They couldn’t be more wrong. The right answer is: it depends. Here’s how to see if you need to count calories to lose weight. Counting calories comes at a […]

How to Stay on Track this Halloween

Here it comes… the Reeses. The Hershey Bars. The M&Ms. The Starburst…and dare I say it? The candy corn. Yes, I know candy corn is very polarizing to some (and I’m not sure why because it’s the best)… so if you don’t like candy corn, there is no place for you here. Just kidding. But […]

How Cortisol Affects Health and Weight Loss

Let’s talk cortisol. Maybe you’ve heard of it, maybe not. If you have, there’s a good chance you’ve just shrugged and kept it moving. It’s important. Especially important when it comes to weight loss and living our best life. How cortisol affects health is real, and it may even tempt you to lower your stress […]

How to Enjoy The Fall Season without Binge Eating

Guys – I love the fall. Like, freaking loooooove it. My birthday is in September (hey my virgo peeps), football is my favorite sport in the whole world, I love oversized sweaters, hiking, being outside… I mean everything the fall is about is my jam. I mean for real, what’s not to like? Bring on […]

How to Get Out of the All-or-Nothing Mentality with Food

The all-or-nothing mentality with food is real f*ck up. It messes up your brain, it messes up your thought process, and it messes up other areas of your life. It for suuuuuure messes up your body. This mentality, along with many other cognitive distortions completely halt healing your relationship with food. Not only will you […]

ceo, health coach, head honcho, mama

Hi friend and welcome! I hope you love a taste of sarcasm, real talk, and someone who is going to tell you pretty much the exact opposite of what diet culture has ingrained in your (read: everyones) brains.

I’m a health coach whose view of health is not being obsessed with food, enjoying exercise again, and changing the thoughts happening between your ears. If you’re looking for macros, a meal plan, or someone who’s going to monitor your weight, you’ve got the wrong girl. But if you’ve come this far, I’m pretty sure you knew that already.

But I promise you… going about health in a normal, mindful, stress-free way will change your life. For good.
